4.5  |  Technology resources and services are aligned with community needs

Libraries need to always be in the process of assessing community needs and responding to those needs by aligning resources and services to meet them. For example, if the community has a high rate of unemployment, the library could provide access to online career-development resources and provide resume-creation assistance. By aligning to community needs, the library shows that it is part of solving community problems and that it is responsive to the needs of patrons.
