2.1  |  Patrons have the ability to retrieve data from and store data to portable devices (e.g., thumb drives, external hard drives, PDAs) while using public computers at all library locations

Public access computer users need to be able to save files to and access them from personal portable devices; portable storage devices allow users to control the files they create or save, and to use them outside the library. Patrons cannot be expected to rely only on cloud-based and email storage for their files; these cloud-based solutions are not accessible to them without an Internet connection which is problematic for many people who have access to computers without Internet connections at home or elsewhere.

Answer Yes if public access computer users are able to use personal portable storage devices to access and save files on all public computers at all locations.
Answer No, but plan to in the next year if library computer users are not permitted to use portable storage devices at all locations, but you plan to permit their use at all locations in the next year.
Answer No, would like to but cannot at this time if you would like to allow the use of portable storage devices but cannot at this time, possibly due to restrictions imposed by IT policies made outside the library.
Answer No, we have no plans to do so at this time if you intentionally use settings or hardware configurations that prevent this type of use at one or more locations.
